Peter Brock Energy Polarizer

During the 1986 Australian touring car championship and following the failed Le mans attack, Brock began to consult health practitioner Eric Dowker. Brock gave up alcohol and cigarettes, and became a vegan. Brock began publicly supporting and, eventually, began to fit to all Holden Dealer Team specials a device called the "Energy Polarizer" containing crystals and magnets that, it was claimed, improved the performance and handling of vehicles through "aligning the molecules".

THen on the ev of the 1987 Australian Touring Car Championship, Brock was ready to release a car called the Brock Director. A GM based Brock car. This was against GMH wishes and after many threats from GMH to withdraw all support from Brock and the Mobile Holden Dealer team if he went ahead with the release of the car, Brock stuck by his guns and released the Brock Director February 1987. On 23rd February 1987, Holden withdraw all support to Brock and the Brock Special Vehicles empire was gone.

Im a Ford fan 100%. Ive got respect for the talents and abilities of many of the Holden teams and drivers both past and present.... but lets be honest Brock was a talented driver but and absolute ingnorant, arrogant tool of a man. A wife beating knob shiner!

Maybe he should have stuck with the boozing, ciggies, and carousing. It was only after going alternate that he stopped winning races en masse. He would have won another 9 bathursts and he'd probably still be here today.....

Thought there was another vid done last year talking to everyone who was at HDT at the time of the polariser but I can't find it. When you look at how AMG have been taken over by Mercedes Benz it is sad that back in 1986 Brock had to head off on such a tangent

@twobarboost Sorry man, I should have realised that. I kind of agree with you, Brock's not my hero. I agree with your top 4 (r.i.p. Possum ), you're obviously a rally fan...good on you, that's real driving.
