Wiki: "Lagunen-Walzer (Lagoon-Waltz) op. 411 is a waltz by Johann Strauss II written in 1883. The waltz melodies are drawn from his operetta Eine Nacht in Venedig (A Night in Venice) which was a fiasco when first premiered in Berlin on 3 October 1883."

  • Yes, there are some lovely melodies included in this waltz, which is otherwise ordinary in construction. - John Austin, Australia

  • Sehr schón!

    Sehr dank!

  • Piękny walc!

    Dziękuję!

    Pozdrawiam!

  • 6:10 begins the intro music to the greatest part of this waltz, the great melody at 6:45. Too bad Strauss didn't repeated it again. For those who saw BBC's "The Strauss Family" - this melody at 6:45 was played throughout. HopefullyThe Strauss Family will be released on DVD - the sound on the VHS was horrid!
