@RockandRoll2471 I get if you like this band. I didn't at first either. But respect them. I really don't see how their ethics are any different from black flag and circle jerks. I have them on facebook as well and I just don't see what you mean. Gun Club is good and so is this. It's different, but they're both good, and they're both rock and roll. Try listening to music with an open mind more often, and you might get into a lot more stuff.

@soulessENERGY I'm very aware that punk isn't just about playing your instruments fast, I'm in a punk band myself and we have quite a few slow songs. Punk is punk regardless of the genre it is a subjective thing. Sincerity is subjective because this sounds sincere to me, you can never truly tell if someone is sincere. Anyways. I saw them them live. It was fucking amazing. He has a lot of clever stage banter and always explains what the songs are about.

@RockandRoll2471 Just because it has "energy" doesn't mean its punk. Punk is not just about playing your instruments fast. In fact original punk bands often played more slow jazzy tunes before hardcore came about.

@RockandRoll2471 Selling out isn't always about your label, its also about your overall ethics and if you're really putting your heart into it like Jeffrey Lee always did. As a punk fan you should be able to sense that Keith Morris is not writing songs for himself but rather his audience which is not what punk is about. If he was writing for himself his lyrics would have gotten more mature as he got older but if you ask me the first Circle Jerks album was way more sincere than this(cont)
