Cincinnati air conditioning company explains why size matters but bigger is not always better. You need a new air conditioner so you call a Cincinnati air conditioning company like Triple D. Heating and Cooling.

You want to remain cool and you're not afraid to use a small amount money to secure a top of the line system. You can purchase a unit that's rated for your home's approximate square footage or you can spend a little bit more for a bigger unit that can cool a bigger space.

Bigger is better, right? Not necessarily. In some areas, larger can be a tragedy. Case in point: air conditioning.

What can you do with this information? A lot of people will spend that little extra to get the superior air conditioner. Bigger is better, they assume. After all, the Cincinnati air conditioning company they contacted said a large unit is better and they're worried about not having sufficient power to handle the hot summer days. They think they know that buying a larger than needed unit will keep things comfy no matter how hot it gets outside. After all, August in Cincinnati is incredibly hot and they need to insure their comfort.

Here's many homeowners they don't consider: The reasons for purchasing too much of an air conditioner can backfire on you and, unfortunately, there are a few Cincinnati air conditioning companies that will sell the larger unit because they make more on the sale.

The fact is that the bigger unit will cool things down quicker. Much faster. Believe it or not, that's a drawback. You'll hit the desired temperature in record time. Then, the AC will shut off. And eventually the temp will boost ever-so-slightly and the massive system will pop back on again. Within seconds, you'll be cooled down again. The procedure will then repeat itself.

That speedy on/off cycling is one of the fastest ways to wear out an air conditioner. Thus, running a "big boy" when you don't need one will result in a quicker degradation of the unit. That's not, for the most, part cost-effective.

And it's not particularly peace and quiet, either. All of that on and off can get irritating. Particularly when you're using a larger system that produces more racket than a smaller one.

There's another problem, too. The larger AC units use more electricity than their smaller counterparts--a fact that becomes very evident when you compare the amount of power used when a unit cycles on after being off. Now you know where this is going? You're cycling the big unit to the end of its life, which is also raising your electric bills.

The solution is simple. Buy the correct air conditioner in the first place. Ask the Cincinnati air conditioning company you contact for the reason why they are recommending a particular size of air conditioner. Avoid the urge to purchase a huge unit if you don't need one.

The thought of having a little extra "oomph" may sound appealing, but it's really a horrible decision. You'll wear through your new AC in a hurry and you'll spend more for the privilege of damaging the costly equipment.

Be sure to select a Cincinnati Air Conditioning Company
