This is almost impossible guitar playing,, you all realize how incredibly difficult there licks are? Also to get the notes to come out so perfect at that lightning speed without losing sound quality is just unbelievable! This is the best dual guitar playing I've ever heard, bar none!!!!

There is a hell of a lot of bad-assery going on in this video.

I always knew that this type of stuff would start to surface! Thanks very much for posting.
Jimmy brings it...anything else from this period where he plays diminished scales in his solos? I'm interested to know when that got into his playing. Nice diminished ending at 6:03.

Not sure there is a copy for sale anywhere. I think we recorded it as a year end project for GIT in 1985. I probably have a cassette with the song in it somewhere in my closet. Steve Trovato and I recorded it some years later and it was on the MI "The Monsters Are Here" teacher compilation demo tape. Finally , Steve recorded it and put it on his first album called "About Time". That CD probably is available.

Everybody please note Jimmy's guitar. It is a Tele body with 70's Strat neck with 2 humbuckers, 2 single coils, and lots of switches... sound familiar?
This is proof that Jimmy Herring was a STEVE MORSE nut.
Not just the guitar... listen to his licks.

Yes, Steve was a big influence on Jimmy..especially in back in the 80s. He also liked Al Dimeola. I think Jimmy's playing has evolved into it's own distinctive sound these days.
