it really does seem to open the power band up. My buddy has a 06' and when we put a CAI on his. The first run we made in his -8 it got to about 6,500-6,800 the motor stalled and jumped back to life a half second later and a huge "POP"!!!!!!! turn around what do i see?!?!? some James Bond shit with a smoke screen!lol We quickly shut her down and pulled over. popped the hood expecting to see oil and carnage.....nothing...hmmm. Jumped back in,started her up and drove balls out!

Sound is annoying and causes huge vibrations in the passenger compartment. MOST OF ALL THIS UNIT CAUSES LOSS IN POWER. I had the stock system reinstalled ASAP.

Don't confuse noise with power, that thing you call a filter is not filtering the air going in to your engine. It has a small surface area so needs much bigger holes. You are better off with the standard element as it cleans and filters the air and doesn't restrict it in any way. Learn about filtration, gasflow and engines!

actually it did seem as if i had a minor increase in throttle response, it also seems to have broadened my power band, allowing more low end. This is purely speculative tho.
