Students at St Kentigern's Academy in West Lothian, Scotland want to raise awareness of child poverty here in the UK. Many children in the UK live in poverty, but what does it actually mean day to day? This film captures the challenges faced by one young person living below the poverty line. St Kentigern's is part of UNICEF UK's Rights Respecting Schools programme. To find out more about the campaign to end poverty in the UK, visit http://www.cpag.org.uk/

I come from South East England and I don't usually comment but I grew up in a situation like this i.e. in poverty. I think a lot of people just pretend childhood poverty doen't exist. There is a real stigma and it's wrong. Children in the UK deserve better!!!
