I assumed that the problem with my door locks and windows not working was the main power switch. You were right on; it was the red and black wiring in the rubber boot. You saved me $271.00 just for the main power switch part. I can’t thank you enough!!! Russ of according to russ.com.

Could sure use your advice. Interior lights wouldn't shut off, and only the driver's door locked. Found the black wire insulation cracked, and I taped it up. Interior lights work properly now, but still only have the driver's lock working. No sound coming from any of the other relays. Any ideas?

@bsyerk i think this will be the last vehicle i purchase by Chrysler, jeep, or dodge. Haven't had very good experiences with their vehicles.

@dwarttisproctor You probably did nothing wrong, you just only fixed half of the problem probably. I am having the same issues with my 95 limited. You'll find as you play with things, it's a crazy game.

@vipertech30813 I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee limited. i found the black wire and repaired it but only the power locks are working now. but now in addition to the other issues now the high beam indicator light on the dash, the cd controls on the steering wheel, and the computer are malfunctioning after i repaired that wire. what did i do wrong?

Thank you so much. You fixed my problem. One question. How in the world did you get the boot back on?
very true about all 2004 models eventually having this problem...I shouldnt have said just one wire that always breaks....there is a chance of others for sure.
