MISSION YEARS MOVIE - CHUCKY BEAVER

This song is about the 6 years that I spent in the St Martins Residential School in Wabasca, from age 6 to age 12. Those 6 years affected me for the next 40 some odd years of my life, the experience, the abuse, discrimination, assimilation etc. Audrey and I met in Residential school at age 10, in 1965, the system separated us and were sent to different schools, we met again in the 70s, I left for work and drifted for many years and she had a child that I did not know about, she was ours. We got back together in 2004, I met my daughter for the first time she was now 26, Audrey and I married in 2006. We have sons and daughters and many grandchildren now and we are happy, finally.
