5 people decided to go outside and play...

Its NOT hard to play, but theres a specific rhythm that you have to keep AND the never forget: you dont steer the car but the environment around it, so it helps when youre a bit (or a lot) drunken.

I like to put on some ambient, droning music and play the endless drive variation. You just space out and you start to think some strange things, like who lives in those houses near the street? Are they angry that you are driving so fast and loud at this time of night? Where are the hamburger cars in such a hurry to get to?

technology at the time was ok IMO...my best games was raiders of the lost ark, pitfall, keystone kaypers and breakout...hys.. playstation x box will fade like many systems did.. Atari, Colecovision NES, genesis will always be classics..btw? your car looks like a cannon lol

I think it's a pretty good game.

I think this game was also released on the Commodore64 as "Knight Rider"

Actually even GT6, or any game looks like this on the very first day of development...
This is the kinda concept that you give out to the programmer, you see the results a day after, and you jump into the harsh conclusion of "scrap the project while we can!", any age and state of technology.

@Trance1972 I like your user name. I hope you never sell your atari. :)
I popped in this game after not playing it since the early 80s and I actually played it for quite a while last night. I don't know what people are talking about, I think it's a nice game. Too me it's a classic but probably because it holds a nostalgic value to me.

Yeah, well back then there were no such thing as PS3 or X-Box 360.
Sheesh...kids of the '90s.

1978, my parents had a huge stereo system, I remember them listening to KISS records (vinyl) and playing Atari 2600. Great times.
