Thirty four years ago, when I wrote and recorded Alright now think I'll make it anyhow. I was an R&B artist. Many years later my dear friend, Hezekiah Walker covered the song with some lyric changes in the verses. In 1981, I gave my heart to Christ and answered the call to preach his word to those that were lost, broken and looking for a way out. The Bible says, all souls are mine. I hope the picture from my past didn't stop you from seeing the bigger message. Yours in love, D.J.Rogers

@nasir92220 Some Christians are holier than thou, just ignore them, God loves you right where you are and he will meet you there, you just need to let him!!!

@djrsings Please know you are loved and your musical genius and soul, touched many who grew up being exposed to great music - including me :-) Thank you.

@ikenga02 This matter has been resolved. It don't even matter. This is a shout out to all other folk who can't read and see that the discussion has been closed. Its over. Leave it in the past.

@2468DDT He wasn't singing about the Lord when he did this song, he was an R&B singer then.

My dad and your dad were great friends; your grandmother used to babysit us; As a musician and now pastor, I have always admired your music, but especially the music/songs from Hope Song. All of us have come short but the most important is getting it together. If it wasn't for the grace and mercy of God, where would any of us be. Keep on preaching and singing. God Bless you.

@djrsings Rev. Rogers, none of us Christians sit in judgement of you. We all have "pictures" from back in the day. You were and still are one of my all time favorite artists. I have no doubt that my youngest daughter was conceived to "Say You Love Me", which is still my all time favorite. God bless you and thank you for your music back then and your love of Jesus Christ today.

Didnt mean to throw out salt that way man, but u have to consider the message that sends out when you're singin about the Lord but they may put up a picture thats not becoming. That gives the message that you can smoke or shack up and sing to God. I wouldve reccommended a Saved and Filled pic instead. Not doubting you at all, im not judging you but i wouldve put up another pic.

No i'll not change the pic, I want the world to know that smokers can have spirituality too.
It's not a chanel where you have to speak about religion and the obscure way to protect it. You can help your community and the others without told us what is bad and what is good bases on laws that u think are universal.
Spirituality is personal and religion and their law is group history, this song is for all and the smokers too.
