This video is all about how far me and Opal have come in the past year. I've been riding her for a little over 2 years. She tries so hard for me and I love her to pieces. Our main accomplishments have been doing an Eric Horgan clinic and getting 2nd in the SBN devision at our first 3-day event. The second song definitially fits us because we made it! Everyone at the barn except like 3-4 people have doubted that we'd make it far they never said much but a look can say a thousand words. It was always Opal's a brat! She can't do anything. Her head's always in the air. No Opal's a great jumper. Opal tries really hard. Opal's so pretty. Finally after the event people started seeing what she could do but no one really believed in her or me. At the Eric Horgan clinic me and one of the older rider's we're going the older rider's lesson was right before me both times. And both times all the teens that take lessons came to watch her then left the second she was done not bothering to watch me & Opal or find out how we did. But we made it! Sadly my trainer thinks by the fall of 2009 I'll have outgrown her in skill. So I'll be showing her next year and hopefully going to Dressage 4 Kids. But I'll also be riding other horses at the barn and starting to create a bond with one of them for the 2010 season. There's one horse I really like who I've ridden before. Only problem is someone has a lease on her but they never come so hopefully I can start riding her again. She's a gorgeous 16hh bay OTTB. Two people have attempted to event her and failed. One never made it past the show jumping and another never made it past the cross country so I'm hoping if we get a good enough bond that we can make it farther.
