@GiniBaggins wait, why couldn't they just dye the actors' hair? also, why not curl their hair instead of making them wear wigs? I will never understand movie crews

@chinghxd Actually the cast and crew worked for about 5-6 years for preparations and stuff, the filming usally doesnt take so much time

wow....16 months to shoot all 3 films. I never realized it was only that sort amount of time! I just thought they came back every year to do it again. that just amazes me even more!!! Props to Peter Jackson...the amount of work he must have done must have been phenomenal! he most definitely deserved [along with the whole cast and crew] the Academy Awards that he won!

@GiniBaggins In an interview he said he'd never worn a wig before. I thought he was wearing a wig too but then again I don't see why he would lie. And this was either right before or right after the Return of the King came out. It's so confusing! haha

@teamEdwardrulez01 True, but they were talking about the photo shoots Elijah had. Not about movies Elijah was in :P so yes he did wear a wig in LotR, but not whilsts posing for photos as himself.
