Windrider, fettered, imprisoned, and pinioned
Wing-clipped by magic, his power full drained,
Valdemar's Heir is defeated and captive,

Darklord of shadows his fetters is weaving

Darshay and Windrider trapped in his gloom,

Shadows dance pain, while the Light sings despairing,
Drawn here by Darshay and Windrider's plight.

Power to shatter their curses at last-
Power that also could free the sad captives;
Power to break the bonds holding them fast.

Heart speaks to heart in the depth of the darkness
Grief calls to grief, and they falter, afraid-
Why should they sacrifice all for these strangers?

Dancer in Shadows, she weeps as she dances,
Dancing unmaking the shadow-born bands.
Sunsinger now through tears gives up his power-
Sings back the magic to Windrider's hands.

@AnimeJanice According to Misty (last I heard anyway), she has had more than a couple of offers, but she declines because she's afraid the "mind speak" and similar fantasy elements will not come across on screen very well, maybe going so far as to appear silly or ridiculous. While I agree with her on that, I'd still love to see it anyway. ;)

@ARP7777777 I can't talk about Jordan and Lackey, but I read Martin and I concur that he's by far superior to Goodkind, even though I wouldn't give much about some rater on the internet. There are levels of good and bad.

@NotMeButAnother George R. R. Martin and the early Robert Jordan beat Goodkind's boot's off. There's a fantasy book series rater with a site I looked at once, and Goodkind was pretty much dead last among the rest of contemperary fantasy writers. The only problem I had with the rater was that he though that Mercedes Lackey was a bad writer whose fiction was full of same-sex characters. That's simply NOT true! Many of her Valdemar books have NO same-sex character, of EITHER sex in them.
