Mr. Denver was fearless! He was up for any, and every thing! Not only a great singer, he was always a "dare-devil," ready to prove his abilities. Here, at the end, we see him laughing at himself after what might have been a perilous fall!

I love all John Denver singing. I saw him perform at Reynolds Auditorium in Winston-Salem before he was famous...tickets were $2.00 each.

I suspect many of our most beloved artists started at the $2.00 level. Their prodigious voices, knowledge and musical ability raised the rate! I'm wishing John were still with us, but I doubt that anyone could afford to see/hear him had he lived. His talent was like an explosion, and I think being in his presence might have been beyond many people! I feel that Mr. D would have made allowances for the high prices; he was a fine performer, but still a communicator before anything else. Thank you!

John Denver is never gone, to me, his life and energy is everpresent and in everything he did. I am transfixed by the video, and I think this is the closest I have ever come to falling in love with someone I never met and will never know.

Back before the flood, there was a poem we read in school, "To an Athlete Dying Young," by A.E. Housman. May be off on the spelling, even the author, but it might have been written for Mr. Denver.
