@smartalexpat I feel the same way, that it's the closest to falling in love with someone I never met! I wonder how many people out there feel that way?

Thank you so much for sharing! I loved it!

I saw this on a TV Special : Julie Andrews "The Sound of Christmas". They were filming in the area where she had done The Sound of Music.

What year was this video??

alright! what a sight to see JD yodeling down the slopes...I thought he'd sing "Blue River" as it pertains to skiing, but this song is better! sweet!

Eureka!!! Happy this all worked out! He was such a good-natured person; I love the "face-full-of-snow" at the end. Think we'll all miss his talent, showmanship and bravado a lot. Thank you!!

John Denver is never gone, to me, his life and energy is everpresent and in everything he did. I am transfixed by the video, and I think this is the closest I have ever come to falling in love with someone I never met and will never know.

I'm so glad to hear from you! Thank you for your comments. I suspect we're both at the end of a very long line of "Denver" fans! Back before the flood, there was a poem we read in school, "To an Athlete Dying Young," by A.E. Housman. May be off on the spelling, even the author, but it might have been written for Mr. Denver. Thanks again.

I love this video. Fun to listen to, fun to watch. I totally disagree with anyone who says he should stick to . . whatever it is they think he should stick to. He was a musician, and he lived to make music. All kinds of music. Most good musicians with long careers try different styles now and then. It's a different way to be fearless, and he was nothing if not fearless.

Thank you! John was a fine musician and knew what his public would enjoy! Somewhere there's a lovely album of John and Placido Domingo as a duo! It's delightful. Thank you for your very kind comment.
