The state of the economy is a god-send to british company's.They are using this to destroy workers terms and conditions.We now see this with british airway's.royal-mail,council workers,n.h.s staff.company's would love to employ people on a casual basis,hence doing away with pensions.sick-pay.holiday-pay.capitalism i think they call it.

I and I suspect the majority of working people support the mail workers. After all, they are only trying to protect their jobs. Today in Britain, nothing matters except money and profit, and without a shadow of a doubt, if these companies can get rid of staff to make an extra buck, they will. Shame on Britain today, and the Labour government who are supposed to be 'for' the workers. Mandelson is a traitor to britain, and the unions CWU union should immediately stop giving money to labour.

Sorry, I wanted to say, Mr Mandleson needs to sort his hair out, as it looks like it belongs in 1986, and why do workers join and pay into a trade union? To maintain and improve the conditions of their employment! So they need to stick with their members, what else can they do?
It is unfortunate that lots of people are un-employed right now, but that is not your postmans doing.

I've just watched a union man and a manager being interviewed on Sky News. Union man said they would agree to go to ACAS without any pre-conditions, management wouldn't do the same. That says it all really, the devious hand of that incredibly foul creature Mandelson is behind this.
