Jon Mills is Dean Emeritus and Professor of Law at the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law. He is Counsel to Boies, Schiller and Flexner L.L.P.
Mr. Mills is former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. As a professor he has taught and lectured in Argentina, Poland, Germany, and at Cambridge and Oxford Universities. As a lawyer he has been counsel in various high profile cases, including as an attorney for the family of racecar driver Dale Earnhardt and for the family of deceased SeaWorld trainer Dawn Bracheau, in each case representing the privacy rights of the deceased's family.
He has appeared frequently in appellate court on constitutional issues. He has been quoted by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post among others. He has appeared on CNN, National Public Radio, ABC, and the BBC.
Mr. Mills also produced an Emmy winning show on the Florida Everglades. He has authored over 20 law review articles, books, and reports including his book "Privacy: The Lost Right", published by Oxford University Press in 2008.
