@SR120 Not every Aussie actor started out in these shows. No. but a lot of famous Aussies have like Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Natalie Imbruglia, Delta Goodrem, Jesse Spencer etc It's a good way for young Aussie talent to learn more about the industry and what's it's really like to work in TV.

The Neighbours cast have quite demanding work hours. They work 12 hour days. Sometimes longer even. I'm sure for the H&A cast it's similar. Even the young cast members have these types of hours so
