wide serve? i dont think so... it shoudn't be the only serve u use to serve volley. U hav to mix it in with the one up the t. With the T serve u take away his angles but hes not out of position, wide will stretch him but give him more of an angle, body serve will maybe jam him but if he reads it he'll t off of it. You best mix it up, each serve hav the advantages and disadvantages
@djlpenguin wide serve means you have one volley to win the point. body/middle serve means you open the court with your first volley, but he'll touch it for the second shot so you'll have a second volley and maybe a third shot would be the overhead. wide serves although dangerous like you said allow you to quickly finish
