One of the best things for this viewer is to tighten her niche. With a tight niche, you aren't even competing with your friend. For example, I teach karate and my niche is more kids and families. I am not the best fit for a UFC fighter. I have a friend in the next town that hates teaching kids and likes teaching fighters. We refer people to each other and in the end, it's better for the customers who get what they want. It's more like shuffling customers to the right place then losing business.
