Happened to me this morning. Three hours later it was up and running after I took it apart and reflowed the motherboard and applied new thermal compound. This is repairable.

i dont know why but it seems like sony and microsoft planned these "deseases" on these consoles... i mean, why did they "plant" the red and yellow lights if their wasnt a desease!?

my one lasted 14months it got ylod then sent it to sony to get it refurbised for £131 with 3months warranty. The best way is to blow dry the back vents for 10-15 minutes then leave it somewhere cool near a fan or outside the garden
