On top of having that new external hard drive to record these, I think my quality got tweaked slightly in a way that makes it so there's less files to be dragged into Vegas meaning less rendering time for me, if the new quality doesn't suck I'm gonna keep it this way because it cut my total time by 2 hours

Yo, E-Lo. Strange artefacts are for some vague extras you get after completing the game. BTW, when you get to the research room and use the computer, type "xor451" as the password in "schmup.exe"

The strange artifacts are basically just there to collect. Gotta find 'em all. If you do find them though, you just get a minigame in the end and you unlock a gallery of pictures.

Great series though, definitely the most entertaining thing i've been watching on the good old tube recently
