  • the ebst bar i could recommend is the one from Elitefts.com

the one i have in the video is from Newyorkbarbell.

It is 100% easier to do a front squat with that type of bar (which is called a Safety Squat bar) then the arms crossed over a straight bar

  • still dc'ing?

  • absolutely!

  • love dc! .... and your clips as well ;) nice 2 have someone like u uploading his clips to get motivation for training (once upon a time i'll do the same weights :p *dreaming*) and inspiration from when looking 4 new exercises ... and moreover ur form is great =)

  • @keck47 thanks man much appreciated. you ever done the hatfield squats with your hands in front of you on the rack/handles with the newyorkbarbell bar? i'm looking for a good bar to do both those and fronts. word from the guy who makes the originals called crepinsek is the yoke has to be offset to fit real good - like when it sets in the rack untouched i guess the yoke is supposed to be at an angle, not straight down. does the newyorkbarbell yolk point straight down? thanks again.

  • i guess with that i should probably ask if youve tried more than one brand of these bars and if you'd give discrepant reviews?.....

  • what bar specifically are your using? getting ready to fork over the $ for one due to a tweaked shoulder messing up my squatting. just trying to make sure i make the right decision. how do you like the feel of this vs. arms across shoulders front squats? thanks.

  • Nice job bro!

  • I've never seen a bar with that sort of extra grip on it - pretty handy for front squats!

    Very impressive
