i love you so much..i just found out about these videos two days ago and i have spent hours just siting and watching them..im really really grateful that you put all these up for free, they really do help a lot

one question though..how do you make such straight lines?? cause if its just free hand then thats pretty crazy lol

@mfjeff @IcyHell77mNRW he explained in one of the really really early videos the drawing posture to get straight lines by hand. Long story short: no wrist movement.

Hey there. I went to a place in new zealand called Weltec, at this place there is a tutor called Gareth McGhie, he use to work at Weta. For portfolios he recommends making them stand out instead of just normal plain looking ones because the ones that stand out grab their attention especially when they get so many every year.

I was wondering, what if you want to apply to a company that do multiple genres like Sci fi and Fantasy, for example bethesda who do Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls. Do you show that you can do both Fantasy and Sci fi, or just one discipline?

i am pretty sure he has his left hand near the handy-dandy Shift-Key to quickly straighten out his lines.

Mix that together with a graphic tablet ( were pressure gives you lines that are not all the way 100 % opaque ) and you got very nice lines that seem loose but are totally straight.

Well, i am just guessing, but i am rather sure ... hope this helps
