If you want to save a file in Firefox really quickly and the file isn't an html file, you can just click and drag the link into whatever folder you want to save it to. That includes the Desktop and any folder in Nautilus.

If you click and drag a link to an html file it will just produce a url link. This only seems to work in Linux, when I tried it in Windows, it just produced a url link regardless of whether it was a link to an html file or not
