The dialog was choppy and the plot was dumb.

Isn't that the point? Satire isn't supposed to pretty, or make sense or be clever. It's supposed to point out the flaws of the system in place by making them obvious. Sorta like how "A Modest Proposal" explained how the Irish suck.
