Pink Floyd - The Wall solo (Boma Cover)

A short video of me playing my new Fender American Standard Stratocaster. After I've recorded this video ... my camera died for the second time, it's a damnation :).

The guitar is directly plugged into a Marshall Valvestate 8080. I used a Shure sm57, in a middle position between the center and the edge of the speaker straight to the amp, not angled. The amp it's not properly the best, but it sounds pretty good anyway.

This video is not a review, so somewhere there's a little reverb or compression. Don't expect to hear the same arpeggio with the 5 different positions of pickup switch. BTW the sound of guitar is much dry and realiable

Ciao Boma, nel solo di another brick in the wall hai usato qualche effetto/pedale o ti sei affidato solo al canale lead del Valvestate?

@VSmolsky ehilà ... ce l'avesse un dannato canale lead quel coso :). Cmq sì ho usato il canale 2 (quello + "forte") con il gain a ore 11 e suonava già da Dio così. Ma poi l'ho fatto precedere dal compressore della boss, giusto per dargli una minima spinta. Ricordo che la soglia era abbastanza bassa. Poi sul pro tools gli ho aggiunto un filo inpercettible di riverbero. Mentre nei pezzi dopo è solo chitarra + ampli. Tutti dettagli cmq, è la chtiarra che canta, è fenomenale :)

Siccome vorrei comprarne uno...l'ampli già di suo non ha un effetto riverbero integrato? Il compressore della Boss è il CS3 o il buon vecchio CS2?

@VSmolsky Sì ... ma non mi piaceva. Sul protools ci sono plugin che danno maggior spazialità, e mi piacciono di più. Il compressore viene dalla GT6, è un multieffetto della Boss un po' datato. Non ho fatto altro che togliere tutto e selezionare solo il compressore ... praticamente emula il pedale singolo, non so dire se il CS2 o il CS3. Di solito i compressori che uso sono plugin per il protools. Ma a me serviva prima dell'ampli e non dopo quindi ho ricorso alla pedaliera

@VSmolsky po pardon se sono prolisso, ma quello che posso dirti su quell'ampli è che ottimo per il rock. Crunch e distorsioni leggere per ACDC e Guns n' Roses è ottimo. Poi ha il send/return per gli effetti e ci si può fare un po' di PinkFLoyd. Ma morta lì. Io ci sono anche metal, ma non ci azzecca per nulla, mio modesto parere. Se ne cerchi uno versatile, questo ampli non fa per te XD. E' per bluesman, rocckettari ... ma nulla di più^^

@BomaMetalhead the heart and feelin' thing depends on the guitarest him or herself not about the form of music he or she plays ... and you got the soul dude congratulations ;) if u don't have love for your music u can never improve as good as that !  i first thaught that it might be a cover of steve R Vaughan u know haha , but you're amazin' dude ..
