Sylvia Browne's financial predictions for 2008

On Montel Williams show, Sylvia predicted that the housing market would get stronger ("it will"), that Ford would bring up the U.S. automotive industry by going green (with hybrids: well duh, they're a decade behind Japanese auto makers in this regard, having spent the past 20 years oblivious to rising fuel prices, and developing gas guzzlers like the Ford F-150 instead).

You don't nee to be a psychic to know the stock market is increasingly volatile, but unfortunately she missed with the "medical stock" tip. The healthcare sector has not panned out as expected in pre-recessionary times... And oddly, she completely missed the boat by not mentioning the obvious bull run in oil, precious metals and ag commodities (which HAD already started by the time this was taped). These sectors clearly HAS been the only winners, to date.

For the most part, no one ever goes bak to check the accuracy of physics: well, we can do that here, and we'll cut her some slack by saying 2008 isn't over yet! :)

syvia browne represents the material side of the new age. somebody should compile a list of her misses, which would be long indeed. for this she sells crap books and charges several hundreds of dollars an hour for her erroneous pontifications. how anybody can get on national TV once after missing as big as she has in the past is, to me, astoundingly arrogant and/or deluded. i'm disappointed that montel continues to use her. he ought to know better and act accordingly.

Check out the last bit, where when asked about the best investment in 2007, Sylvia responded without a moment's hesitation with one word: "property".

Uh, could she have been MORE WRONG? If that's not proof of her being a complete fraud, then I don't know what is!

And Syliva Browne's greatest missed prediction of 2008? She missed the cancellation of the "Montel Williams Show" itself! The show was canceled in 2008 (although it remains in syndication showing re-runs).

You'll see promos for updates being added to the show, but this is a post-production trick where someone adds the updates. Wonder how long THAT approach can last (probably as long as viewers are willing to watch the clothes of the audience grow increasingly dated).

Wow, some of you guys are harsh critics: did you miss the paragraph where I wrote, "you don't need to be a psychic", or the comments above where I didn't misspell it? Having taken advanced college-level physics (and I hold a doctorate in a hard-core scientific discipline), trust me, I KNOW the difference between psychics and physicists. ;)

And please don't jump down my throat for misspelling 'back'! I wrote that summary in one minute, at most. Sheesh!
