@kandroid96 Wrong. Japan agreed to surrender, they just posed conditions, we wanted to show the Soviets we meant business, so killed 140 thousand men women and children.
we had given japan a warning that we possessed a technology that could destroy an entire city in one shot, we told them to stop fighting or we would use it. they didnt stop so we used it. we then gave them a 2nd chance to stop and they didnt, so we dropped a second one on Nagasaki. then they surrendered.
i m American about to join the us military. and ur right. it was bullshit to drop a bomb on japan. i hate to say but for what pain usa put on so many innocent people usa might be facing Carma.
i am an american and i think it was unfortunate we had to drop that bomb but we feared that an invasion would have cost so many lives that it was not worth it, we also feared mass civilian suicide like on Okinawa so while it was in tragic it was unfortunately the best plan of action to end the war.
PS please ignore the comments from my other fellow americans that are acting like total jackasses! FYI being an american does not make you more important than anyone else
@HiCapacity What a belligerent response from an american (?) whom supports the greek hellenic front? You apparently believe everything is to be gained through violence so your response should surprise me not. The MASS majority was innocent. A proper education would tell you that.
@gnarCR Don't listen to these - seemingly - illiterate war mongers. You can't justify a mistake like this as you cannot justify any other great historical tragedy. No matter what lessons are learned from them. Being an American, I can say that the normal thinking individual would of course agree that this was - and still is - deplorable.
@gnarCR It is, when they deserve it. We dropped pieces of paper over that shithole, saying get out, there will be an attack. They didn't leave. They are not innocent.

@gnarCR they should not hve started a war with teh most powerful nation on earth
leaflets were dropped for people to evacuate out of the city and they failed to heed the warning
japan would have done the exact same if they came across the technology first and the nazis were only weeks away from discovering it
by killing millions they potentially saved many many many more than died
