One of the songs I love the most from this movie!!!

From the Original Motion Picture "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (1967) directed by George Roy Hill and starring Julie Andrews, James Fox, Mary Tyler Moore, John Gavin, Carol Channing and Beatrice Lillie.

  • I don't mean to sound ignorant but why is she singing in an english accent? isn't Millie meant to be american or did they change that for the stage version?

  • I remember that they wanted her to sing in an english accent because they thought it would have been funnier or more impressive. Btw, I like it =)

  • please upload "forget about the boy"!

or is it just from the Musical on Broadway?

    sorry, i don´t know =/

  • Well I guess it belongs on the stage version, because on the movie that part is only summarized in a cue of Miss Flannery: "Forget the boys, Miss Dillmount, get yourself a canary".

  • @KC91costasal

she does, she is like magic

  • who changes INSIDE their closet?

  • @PhantomCake I think that's Julie Andrews' British accent; it hasn't got anything to do with Millie

  • @PhantomCake I think it's just Julie Andrews' British accent

  • great song, dame julie is great!!

  • Shrek so (Not putting any dismissal or ciriticism on said shows and realizing that a lot of "original" works are borrowed from straight plays, books, operas, true stories, etc.) I guess that I worded that badly... Let's try "They like original shows that they can really relate to."
