Great video and good tips! :) I've been assigned to work with an 11-year-old autistic boy who is dominantly nonverbal, he loves to read and is very well-mannered. I don't mean to play devil's advocate but when someone is nonverbal I think their eyes are really important to understanding what they are feeling. If you start telling them what to do I think you risk the possibility of losing that raw indicator (eyes/body language) and won't be able to connect with the real person.

Great explanation. Eye contact is about so much more than the eyes.
