Sorry, what are "plank/powder twin tip free ride skis"? I am not really in the ski scene, but would like to learn more. (Especially if need to buy completely different skis to learn to ski powder).

So very cool! The skis they use seem to be broad and straight. Not the carving skis that everybody uses these days. Is that because this shape is better for powder?
