Watch a Christian orphanage in Myanmar (Burma) perform a traditional Mizo Bamboo (Cheraw) Dance. You can learn more about this orphanage and Orphan's Tear, a division of Heaven's Family, at: http://www.OrphansTear.org/

  • awesome z v watch dis video wil the money go to the oraphanage????????????????????

  • Did you know that Mizoram is attempting a World Record Bamboo Dance on March 12th 2010

  • It is indeed Cheraw Dance and it looks very simple but needs accurate coordinations or your legs can hurt enough.

  • The correct spelling is Aizawl not Aizwal, hence Aizawl2007 is the correct way to write this user's account name. in the Mizo alphabet there's a letter 'aw' which is pronounced as o like the english letter. Aizawl seem to be misspelled very often by non-Mizo.

  • Just to let you know, for easy understanding, and for the rest of the world, it's known as bamboo dance... The social science textbook for 3rd graders (CBSE) also mentions the dance as bamboo dance.

By the way, just out of curiously, isn't your name supposed to be Aizwal2007?

  • Cool Video! The Bamboo dance is pretty neat!

  • There is NO DANCE called BAMBOO DANCE. This is a traditonal dance of the Mizo's called, CHERAW.
