Changing appearance throughout the seasons, the Black Oak is one of the iconic trees of Yosemite Valley, and its acorn is used for food by both animals and people.

  • Well done, as always, Steve. Loved the transition between the holes in the tree and the holes in the stone.

  • So peaceful and beautiful. My blood pressure dropped 10 points just viewing this. Good medicine.

  • so beautiful trees over there...

  • I enjoyed this very much

  • Another very well done Yosemite video :) Thank you for these gems!

  • Beautifully done!

  • Magical, as always. And I'm so glad Julia Parker was included. We were so fortunate to have her lead a nature walk - through the native people's community - when we visited in winter a couple years ago. She's a treasure. So we were pleasantly surprised to be in the British Museum in London not long after and saw her photo along with some of her exquisite basket work on display there. Let's save Yosemite and all the parks.

  • Well done, interesting, informative and the musical background was very nice.

  • Must visit this beautiful place soon!!!
