@gothicofairy1324 If your "evidence" that he is an alcoholic is that they didn't sell alcohol at a venue he played at then I would suggest you bring us some better references. Maybe an interview with him or someone close to him, maybe a newspaper article or a magazine story (not a tabloid)... Anything other than hearsay. I think that's called libel.

Bono is alcoholic they wouldnt even sell alcohol at the show in philly when he was trying to get sober.

I remember this show in Madison, Wisconsin. Outdoor venue, and I was relatively unimpressed with the first half of the show. Too rehearsed, lacking in that old U2 unpredictability.
Then they played this song, and the entire stadium just...elevated. Then, they tore apart the rest of the show.
It was like they could feel themselves going through the motions, and then looked at each other and said, "Fuck THIS. We're U2. Let's blow this out of the water."
