HUMAN THREAT
Mainly habitat loss. But leopards are also:
killed for commercial reasons (fur, others), leopard-human conflict, hunted for fun. Kept unfree (zoos..., in small cages without vegetation + exhibited all day to another species). Used as tourist attractions. Petted. And surely others.

Thats little information youve got from watching these films. But Lions do also scavenge maybe even more than hyenas. Hyenas are skillful hunters. They can run 8 kilometers with their topspeed without getting tired.

But i dont like the way Hyena kills its prey, eating it alive.

  • Hyenas are just scavangers, they follow the skillful preditors and then muscle in on the remains when their numbers are high enough

  • one bite from a hyena then the cheetahs wont be able to hunt, hyenas bite not to be messed with (1000 pounds per sq inch), more powerful than a lion bite!

  • The narration brings good suspense.

  • Although I'm fascinated with National Geographic but I confess that in many wild films BBC has the superiority.

But anyways great thanks for both efforts

  • From Wikipedia : the adult cheetah weighs from 36 to 65 kg. Its total body length is from 115 to 135 cm, while the tail can measure up to 84 cm in length. Cheetahs are 67 to 94 cm in height at the shoulder.

The adult spotted hyenas weighs from 40 to 85 kg. It's total body length is from 95.0 to 165 cm, and have a shoulder height of 70.0 to 91.5 cm.

So the size are roughly the same. Hyenas have more powerful claws. Cheetahs are (obviously) faster.

    Great video, btw. :-)
