Lanier Yak 54 ( 94" ) with a DL-100, JFX 27 X 10 prop, weight is 26 1/2 lbs. The DL-100 rips the prop at wide open leverl flight. This was my first flight and I shot 3 landing approaches and it didn't seem like it wanted to slow down. I greased one in ( not the best , but not bad ) and the stock wheels blew off the rim which caused a bent landing gear along, exploded wheel pants, and a broken prop tip.

  • Never force a plane on the ground, and your video is the reason im trying to find one of these.

  • Sounds a little rich in the midrange to me.

  • Ya no me quedan uñas que comer... este Latin American Idol esta acabando con mi vida... quedan 5

  • but who wants it quiet?

  • Nice combo. That engine has awesome power.

I would go with a 3 blade 27" since the 2 blade is ripping that easily. Plus it will land slower and give you more clearance. 3 blade carbon will really quiet it down.

  • its my son's first plane

  • My son and I have one of these, its still in box waiting on engine.....he can't wait to fly it.

  • That DL-100 is really tuned for that maiden flight and was ripping that 27X10 prop ... sweet :-) ........ and it was the second hop that got your prop.

  • Nice maiden, looks like a keeper!
