@crazykrazy123 hi mate. I am currently swimming regularly to improve on my laps, as I want to be a life guard in a for a indoor lesuire centre in London. They expect me to swim front crawl 100 metres( 4laps) continuos But with my head out the water, looking straight. I am so use to doing 4 laps bio lateral breathing, is this new type of swimming going to be more easy for me now or harder. my next swimming lesson is nex week and my test is coming up nxt month. Please reply. thanks

@crazykrazy123 in Montana it 14.5 to be a pool lifeguard with red cross you just need to resert. for cpr every year and life saving every three

@armymedic98 Depends if u wanna b a city lifeguard or red cross lifeguard. Red cross is 18 and only for pools. City lifeguards get paid more 13.25 current minimum and are placed on the beach. City lifeguard course and the test is 10 times harder then the red cross one. To be a city lifeguard you have to be 16 by the time you start working. I was still 15 when i was in lifeguard school. I'm a lifeguard at Coney Island beach ( Brooklyn NY) and i love my job. All the info i gave u is based on NY =)

@armymedic98 18 to be an ocean lifeguard and 17 to be a pool lifeguard. lacountylifeguards. org has some general info as does fire. lacounty. gov
i'm 12, and i am starting my lifeguard class in a week, im a little worried i will hold back the class due to the fact im twelve and most people start lifeguard training when they are 13-15, is it alright if i can only swim 20 laps in the pool, is that okay? or should i be able to do more by now?

@superbubblegumfreak If you work hard then you should do well. You can always take the class again if you think you need it. Good luck!
