The public has been misled long enough! Ninety Five percent of the former sex offenders released into the communities do not re-offend. That statistic comes straight from the Justice Department. The injustices being imposed on sex offenders today is an outright disgrace. They may have victimized someone, but when their time is up, they deserve a second chance. • I am inclined to agree with this video. This 'scarlet letter' approach to sex offenders is absurd and reminds me of the 1930's way of thinking. If someone is still a danger, THEY SHOULDN'T BE SET FREE! If they aren't a danger, don't keep fucking with them I don't see why these high priced assholes with their masters degrees can't say who will reoffend and who won't.

  • @les4lifepaul Thanks Paul. No one can predict accurately anyone's future conduct, unless it's done in a controlled environment, which is what the public has done with these stupid SO Laws. The current laws have undermined our Country, in more ways than people are even willing to look at.

  • In the US there is a law called Megan's Law.Seven-year-old Megan Kanka was raped and murdered by a known sex offender in New Jersey in 1994.The offender had just moved into a house across the street. After that, the law was enacted,Under Megan's Law,when a known sex offender moves into a community, all the residents are notified. It became a federal law in 1996.But the ploblem is that sex offenders have a high rate of recidivism.

  • @killerpainabc I don't know where you get your information, as far as "high rate of recidivism" is concerned, but that's completely wrong. SOs have the 2nd lowest rate of recidivism out of all other criminal offendrs. See DOJs reports on criminal recidivism.

  • good video, the truth is most sex offender do not re-offend and are not predators to begin with, the media is deceptive

  • @2pacthugzta thanks for seeing the truth.

  • Our society is very good at pointing fingers and judging others Some how it makes them feel better about themselves if they condemn someone else. It's the sad truth.

  • @kenjiro2004 Dude! The registry doesn't do any to prevent violent sex offenders, or "the most dangerous." This law was pushed, initially, to list the most dangerous offenders with the highest likelihood of re-offending. Now, even kids are on the damned thing! People are so paranoid these days that's it's unhealthy and it's destroying the fabric of a free society, and the lives of "free thinkers" and "open minded" people. It's not good at all.

  • @2pacthugzta people like Garrido are a minority on the registry

  • @MrCountrycuz Ya, in my home State, politicos are using us to make laws that sound good, so they can avoid being seen as the failures they truly are.

  • America is still plauged with Salem Syndrome.
