No - she's just in two different places - like a lot of us - over matters of 'belief' and the ending is therefore ambivalent (like life !)

Interesting point. Trouble is these are overtly Christian - infact - Catholic -symbols. The Cross, the giant Rosary beads and the dark red Roses representing Mary. She sings: 'tomorrow could be the day - if only you had the faith' - and appears to slip out of the chains binding her at the end - but then the very last shot shows she's still in them. Deep stuff! Her roots were in Catholicism and she played at several official Catholic venues. What she is now - who knows. Maybe she doesn't !.

Hmm,I'm a bit lost on that one, she's said before she's more of a spriualist. I think the ropes and chains represent over-analysing and thinking too much in general,when the chains are loose the mind has let go..
