  • @billycrna Actually it is a world protected UNESCO site not just a national monument. His actions were fantastically stupid for many reasons, 1 being swimming is prohibited due to a death in a nearby pool from amoebic meningitis. If he had contracted this here, this complex would be closed period and no-one would get to see the site anymore because someone was too stupid to not jump in an algae infested lead lined pool. The fact other Americans are even thicker is no consolation.

  • @stonersforum Its a green algae that is a modernish product of the baths now being open i.e. they thrive in the sunlight. Not an issue in the Roman world when it was all closed.

No, but not ALL Americans are like this, just like how I'm sure not all Europeans are Nationalist shitheads.

  • @kennykyle133 So, you call this having respect for the country you are visiting??

  • @gyqz

    Nationalist ethnocentric retard.

  • The girl who died in1979 from meningitis after swallowing some water did not bathe in this bath

But at another bath a short distance from the main baths which is still closed to the public today

No one has bathed in the main baths for hundreds of years

  • Leave it up to an american to totally disrespect European culture. Guys like this should be sent back immediately with no chance of coming back again!

  • Crazy Americans!!! I visited in 2000, and it was incredible. I hear the actor Nikclaus Cage has a home in Bath? Anyone know if this is true?

  • Bathing hear ceased in the 70's due to a death from meningitis. There is a particular strain that thrives in this environment, and it gets into your brain, not the nicest way to die.

  • @ViresVeneratio However, the states has far more because - if what I heard is true - only 12% voted for evolution to be taught in schools, with the rest opting for "intelligent design" or creationism. lol

  • what a dope he probably caught a disease and died. why would you bath in like 2000 year old water
