With our current renewable energy policy, the U.S. risks losing its competitive edge in the green economy. Applied Materials President and CEO Michael Splinter asserts that doing nothing is neither a strategy, nor a policy and he will discuss innovative solutions to create new green-collar jobs and re-establish the U.S. as a technology leader.

    What nonsense. The US doesn`t have an edge in the green economy. Other mainly European nations with much smaller populations have more solar and wind then the US does. The US is also nowhere to be seen in the Kyoto issue. US is a loser not a leader. Just as with the Large Hadron Collider. Just as with the Largest plane the A380. Just as with the decline of the Dollar and the rise of the Euro. The US is becoming a second grade nation.
