  • You know that the GSXR 1000 k8 (2008) have a 3 power map...What happen if I install a yoshimura with a power commander..??

I will only use one map ?? Or 3 maps continue working..??

  • I'd expect the three maps to keep working, but the challenge will be setting it up on the dyno with something like a power commander.

  • How the hell can you give a review when you don't even show yourself riding the bike? It looks like you are just reading it off from an online magazine.

  • I had mobile footage, but the Suzuki stuff was far better. My stuff is shot on zero budget, and Suzuki's clearly isn't.

FYI, I've been working as a bike journo since 1984.

    All the best, G.

  • Thanks for the quick review, i've been looking for something like this. Looking @ a 600 or 750 to kill myself on soon. hope to see everyone out there. :)

  • allmoto,

That was an excellent review of the K8 GSX-R1000. I wish more reviews like yours were available on youtube for those wannabees researching their next new bike.

    Thankyou.

  • nice overview..

  • is it me or does this bloke have lot of books??? like the video though!

  • I have twin Arrows and replaced the cat for an Arrow one. There is a little miss fire when you let off. I dont think it needs power comand. The bike is completly diverent with this set up. Power comes in quicker and makes it feel like a k5 but better. The k8 is a great allround bike. I wouldnt be without it.

  • @allmoto 3 power map will still work

  • cool

  • nice one m8

  • @madbiker53 i've got a scorpion de-cat pipe on mine, what a difference it makes, and you can actually hear the thing!

  • jmr75@BaKeDCrAcKer absolutely correct, i fitted a pair of stomgrip tank pads for that very reason cos i was starting to scuff the side of the tank with my knees. it's only during prolonged periods at low speeds, ie stop/start in town, that it bothers me. once up to speed, the bike fits like a glove cos you get enough of a wind blast on your chest to support you and take some of the weight off your wrists.

  • @jmr75 try using your legs a little more to squeeze the tank, it really helps with sore wrists.

  • i love my k8 gsxr 1000 :)
