In memory of the legendary piper Alasdair Gillies, one of the most successful solo light music competitors in history.
Argyllshire Gathering Oban, August 2007, former winners MSR competition. Alasdair Gillies was the winner of the contest. The tunes are David Ross, Inverary Castle and Broadford Bay.
This video shows the full performance (double MSR). It has a higher resolution than the video I posted in 2009.

  • Alasdair was one of my favorite pipers..... not only for the piping, but because he followed his dreams and went to Canada to play. I will miss him.

  • That's thousands of hours of practice coming to back him up when he needed it. Good piping Mr. Gillies. We'll miss you.
