A fifty- year Persian traditional music veteran, teaching, playing, recording and archiving it, I find Homay Mastan, and his selection of poetry and synergy of orchestration simply a breath of fresh air, fighting for freedom of Iran through penetrating words of poetry combined with joyous and mesmerizing melodic forms.
These days him and his collegues are amongt the greatest musicians and freedom fighters of our land.
I look forward to his upcoming concert.
