The Hand Exoskeleton is designed to provide assisted rehabilitation to patients with a dysfunctional motor capability. This establishes a new and revolutionary way to carry rehabilitation treatment.
Each joint of the hand will be moved by the exoskeleton with control in the speed, sequence and movement range. The exoskeleton allows the following independent movements on each finger:
-Flexion/extension of the distal interphalangeal joint.
-Flexion/extension of the medial interphalangeal joint.
-Flexion/extension of the proximal interphalangeal joint.
-Abduction/Adduction of the metacarpophalangeal joint. A full body exoskeleton, which includes exoskeleton for arms, legs and torso, which is currently under development.
