Sadly this is a relatively common occurance where warships out beyond the horizon test underwater sonar equipt. Cetacians such as dolphins can hear the sound and it scares them into a blind panic, sometimes resulting in strandings like this.

they showed this on UK news. Apparantly that place is renowned for dragging large fish onto the shores. Its the way the place is shaped. Waves are strong and the beach becomes narrow very quickly.

I wonder if h dolphins did any sort of thank you gesture after they were put back into the sea. The last one seemed to do so by splashing its tail on the surface to create a splash. You can tell they were aware. After the people grabbed their tails and started pulling them back out - they relaxed. Most other wild animals will flip out if you grab them - even if you were trying to help them. Which makes me think makes the dolphins were aware that they were being helped.
