Generally, the rules in Britain allowed GroupB as long as it was limited to 300 max horsepower.
The Manta 400 was essentially the ultimate 'MK2 Escort' format of normally-aspirated engine and rear-drive, with 276hp.
"Clubman" Metro 6R4's continue to compete in National rallies with the 300 permitted hp. The works GpB cars had 410 horsepower.
