St. Patrick's Day 1995, Albany, NY, opening round of the Big Dance. In one of the most exciting games in tournament history, the Old Dominion Monarchs upset the Big East champions from Villanova. It was an epic performance by ODU's Petey Sessoms who out played flavor of the month Kerry Kittles.

  • @thebenflorance Yep! Lappas was NOT a popular guy in Philly. Don't forget that, when at UMASS, he had to return to Philly when he played Atlantic 10 teams:

    La Salle

    Temple

    St. Joseph's

Bet he got earfuls from fans at the games.

  • @gymman1031 Lappas got outcoached almost every game.

  • Coach Capel REALLY outcoached Steve Lappas.

  • I was there that night, the crowd went so crazy that I thought the Knick was gonna shake apart!

  • Thank you for posting!! One of the best games from one of the best tournaments!!

  • Mike Emrick actually does pretty decent for a hockey announcer.

  • Great Add!!!!!

  • "Petey Sessoms is for real"
