Pastor Justin Rossow preaching on the Third Sunday in Advent on December 11th, 2011 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst, TX.

WE SHOW UP and WE OPEN UP
"Kyrie, eleison! Lord, have mercy!" Those words welcome a monarch and ask for the kinds of gifts only a King can bring. Today in worship, our King comes to us. Jesus is present today in His Word to strengthen your faith and your faithfulness, to remove your sin and give you new life in the power of His Spirit. Today we recognize the coming of our King as we look to Him for everything we need. "Kyrie!" we cry, "Lord, have mercy on us!" The King comes to His people today, the King known as Emmanuel, God With Us.

OLD TESTAMENT LESSON 2 Samuel 7:8, 12-17 [ESV]
